Fleet Diesel Mechanic Job Description
At Reyes Fleet Management, we are seeking a skilled Fleet Diesel Mechanic B to join our team at our facility in Caledonia, MI.
Job Summary:
- The successful candidate will focus on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures and performing repairs as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance
- Inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and verify required licensing and registration
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
- Must have a valid Driver's License to operate applicable company vehicles
