REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Manager Production Planning in Clarksville, TN
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Responsible for developing the supply schedule for finished goods and semi-finished goods where appropriate. The schedule should minimize brand changes and meet inventory stocking strategies while staying within staffing and equipment capacity constraints.
- Managing direct material inventories in accordance with safety stock strategies and shipping limit guidelines.
- Overall understanding of work centers, output assumptions, changeover times, bills of material, and specification changes.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain and brand planning processes.
- Developing stock holding policies and reviewing space constraints at manufacturing locations.
- Will possess a detailed understanding of the ERP planning tools.
- Must be up to date and knowledgeable of brand projects including end of life cycle projects to minimize finished good write-offs. The manager must stay informed of upcoming events such as new brand launches or promotional activity to ensure cost savings and project success. The position will occasionally be required to lead and/or participate on teams that are associated with brand projects.
- Bachelor of Science degree in relevant field with 3 years of relevant work experience, or Associate degree in related filed with 5 years of relevant work experience, or Diploma and 7 years relevant progressive work experience
- Supply Chain and/or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams of varying levels of seniority
- Excellent in written/oral communication, negotiation, decision making, and analytical problem solving
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence stakeholders across the commercial and operational business
- Good attention to detail together with the ability to plan and manage activity and interdependencies across a large number of workstreams
