What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Law and Compliance Attorney position at Reynolds and Reynolds?
The Reynolds and Reynolds Company is seeking an In-House Attorney to handle a wide variety of complex legal matters and projects, with a particular focus on employment law and regulatory compliance.
The specific job functions will include: reviewing, negotiating, and drafting employment agreements and policies; coordinating sophisticated litigation strategies with outside litigation counsel; advising on current legal matters and developments in employment law and regulatory compliance; advocating on behalf of the Company in employee disputes; providing general support to the Company’s leaders across all departments and affiliates; assisting and advising on regulatory and other compliance matters; and other legal matters facing the Company. This position requires travel up to 25% of the time and will be based out of our facility in Houston, Texas.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Jurisprudence from an accredited law school
- Currently licensed to practice law in the United States, preferably in the State of Texas or Ohio
- Prefer 5 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel in a corporate setting, with a focus on employment law and regulatory compliance
- Exercise exceptional legal reasoning, analysis, and drafting abilities
- Possess strong negotiating skills and reasoned judgment
- Must be adaptive and able to work productively both independently and as a member of a team
