We currently have an opportunity for a Director, Data Strategy and Management located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.
Responsibilities
Your Role:
As a Director, Data Strategy and Management, you will be responsible for building and sustaining our data governance framework, providing data engineering to support traditional Data and Analytics solutions alongside emerging technology such as Generative AI, and shaping our overall data architecture and approach. You will have the opportunity to:
- Drive the strategic direction and execution of our data and analytics governance framework, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and security of our data assets.
- Be a leadership partner on the Data & Analytics team, in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of RCP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data policies, standards, and procedures that adhere to industry regulations and best practices.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of in-house and acquired third party data assets/sources, including data quality, data lineage, data access, and security controls.
- Establish and monitor data governance KPIs and identify areas for improvement to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Works with Data Protection Committee to ensure compliance with relevant data privacy laws and regulations.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and identify opportunities for leveraging data and analytics to drive business growth and enhance customer experience.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making within the organization by educating and promoting data literacy and stewardship among employees.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate the priority and progress of the Data & Analytics projects and advocate for the importance of data governance throughout the organization.
- Support and enable responsible AI and GenAI programs by supplying robust data sources, governance frameworks, and high-quality data as technology comes into focus.
- Coach technical talent along their career journey.

Qualifications
We need you to have:
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 10 years of professional experience in data/analytics.
- 7 years of experience in data governance and/or data engineering.
- Strong experience in database architecture and management (modelling, integration, quality) – AWS solutions and platforms a plus.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and data warehousing principles and techniques.
- Experience delivering business solutions and proving value to non-technical stakeholders.
Icing on the Cake:
- Prior experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Manufacturing industry.
- S/4 HANA experience.
- Experience developing PowerBI dashboards and visualizations in a business context.
- Experience with data science & advanced analysis techniques (Python, regression analysis, predictive forecasting, etc.).
