Position Overview :
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of IT PMO to lead the IT Project Management Office and drive the successful execution of high-priority technology initiatives. This senior leadership role will manage a team of project managers, business analysts, and solution specialists, ensuring projects align with organizational objectives and deliver measurable business value. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of IT, the Director will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical solutions and business strategies, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT project management methodologies, a strong business acumen, and proven leadership skills to build a high-performing team capable of driving transformative organizational change.

Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the IT PMO strategy to align with organizational goals and technology roadmaps.
- Partner with the SVP of IT to develop and refine a long-term technology roadmap, including project estimates, priorities, and timelines.
- Serve as the architect of a world-class strategic planning team that extends beyond IT, acting as a key partner to executives in achieving company priorities.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, mentor, and coach a high-performing team of project managers, business analysts, and solution specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.Drive professional development opportunities to enhance technical, leadership, and strategic skills across the team.Ensure effective resource allocation and scalability to meet organizational demands.Project Oversight
Facilitate and oversee the execution of high-priority IT projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.Establish and refine best practices for project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and ensure compliance with SDLC processes.Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery while minimizing impact on organizational operations.Business Alignment & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a primary liaison between IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical solutions with strategic objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to drive organizational change and optimize business platforms.Communicate project status, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders, including executive leadership, with clarity and transparency.Operational Excellence
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and financial accountability.Foster a process-driven culture of transparency and accountability, enhancing operational efficiency and project delivery.Ensure comprehensive project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and lessons learned, to support continuous improvement.Technological Leadership
Stay current with emerging technologies, project management tools, and best practices, leveraging them to improve project outcomes and system architecture.Collaborate with the technical teams to identify and implement efficient solutions for system integration, migration, and modernization.Qualifications :
Required Skills and Experience :
Experience : 8-10 years of progressive IT project management experience, including leading complex, cross-functional projects and managing diverse teams.Leadership : Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.Strategic Vision : Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align IT initiatives with business goals, driving transformative organizational change.Project Management Expertise : In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.), SDLC processes, and project governance frameworks.Budget Management : Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets, resource allocation, and financial tracking.Communication Skills : Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels.Change Management : Strong understanding of change management principles, with proven success in guiding organizations through significant transitions.Preferred Skills and Certifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or certifications such as PMP or PgMP are highly preferred.Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI / CD pipelines, and experience implementing process improvements across IT teams.Knowledge of modern collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to enhance project visibility and efficiency.Personal Attributes :
