Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for the support required to support property accountability for Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) and recording the accountability accurately in the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). This team serves as members the Property Book Office (PBO) which consists of the following elements: Program Management Cell, Cataloging Cell, Database Administration Cell, Training and Certification Cell, and Testing and Evaluation Cell. Each cell carries out its unique responsibility in support of command users, warehouse management and upkeep in the administration of the NECC PBO Logistics Program.
Responsibilities:
The candidate shall provide deployment and sustainment support services for DPAS as well as other required APSR related systems to identified organizations within the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) community.
The candidate shall provide local assistance services for DPAS or any other APSR approved system for users located in geographic areas identified in the support locations herein. The candidate shall provide liaison activities that encompass system support and functional assistance to users from the NECC headquarters enterprise down to the deployed user locations.
The candidate shall provide periodic data upload and exchange capability to the DOD IUID registry for proper registration and analysis of NECC IUID data, UID data validation, and UID integration reporting to PBO.
The candidate shall conduct OJT training sessions to a small group (one to three personnel) in the working space for each implemented FA to ensure a level of understanding supporting operational use--to include the ability to use DPAS or any other APSR approved system web portal to access/retrieve reports and develop/execute database queries. This small group working space level training shall include equipment use, reports processing, and DPAS/APSR approved system operations.
The candidate shall provide recommendations regarding an interactive Computer Based Training (CBT) module that includes user proficiency evaluation through online examination process and user certification documentation. The candidate shall provide data maintenance services in removing errant data elements and elevation to the appropriate tier for more corrective action.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with DPAS-WH to include developing change requests or procedural changes to improve user functionality, property, accountability and auditability.
· A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with property management policies, plans and procedures and their application to commodity management requirements at the Department of Defense (DoD).
· Experience with book-to-floor and floor-to-book validation inventories of Personal Gear Issue (PGI) and Table of Allowance (TOA) material.
· Experience in conducting post-data entry to validate DPAS-WH data entry accuracy.
