RGA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the design and coordination of architectural and engineering projects. As a Project Manager, you will act as the single point of contact for clients and project teams, guiding projects from inception to completion.

Job Description

Project Mangers work directly with all members of a project team to lead the project design. Through interactions with clients, staff, and consultants, Project Managers provide leadership at the project level and inspire collaboration between client and project teams as the single point of contact.

Typical Duties

The following duties are representative of what is typically required of Project Managers, although competency in additional duties beyond the scope of this list are a valued contribution to both individual professional growth as well as the overall success of the project team.

Provide leadership at the project level, interacting with clients, staff, and consultants.

  • Prepare project budgets, prepare project schedules, manage contracts, and monitor financial progress during all phases of the design process.
  • Participate in firm-wide resource allocation planning and forecasting.
  • Supervise design coordinators and designers, and coordinate work tasking.
  • Prepare and review research for product and construction methods related to projects.
  • Process contractual and financial construction administration documents.
  • Provide mentorship to Design Coordinators and Designers. Receive mentorship from Project Architects, Project Engineers, and Principals.
  • Coordinate preparation of construction documentation, including preparing outline and cartoon drawing sets for planning and coordination purposes.
  • Ensure consistency between project design intent, project documentation, and project specifications when applicable.
  • Review and coordinate consultant-provided documentation and information.
  • Provide responses to bid inquires, and prepare and issue bid addenda.
  • Assist in construction administration processes including preparation and issuing of clarification drawings, on-site observations, submittal review, shop drawing review, responding to contractor requests for information, and project close-out procedures.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5 years experience in all phases of architectural projects
  • Professional degree and/or registration preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Focused, articulate, and motivated.
  • Knowledge in management of project business: scope, services, fee, schedule, and budgets.
  • Competent knowledge of the use of current building codes, zoning codes, and other applicable regulatory requirements in building design and construction.
  • Enthusiastic commitment to the design process and team collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate with project team, consultants, clients, and contractors.
  • Good knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience with regulatory agencies including city, county, and state government agencies such as building departments, planning departments, OSHPD, and DSA.
  • Competent knowledge of building design and construction, materials, specifications, and construction details.
  • Sufficient knowledge of engineering and building systems to coordinate work with project team as well as with outside project consultants.
  • Sufficient knowledge of construction processes to coordinate work with contractors.
  • Successful candidates must possess the desire to pursue growth opportunities, licensure, and actively participate in a collaborative team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
