RGA seeks a Corporate Communications / Public Relations intern who is a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to contribute to the team. This position will work closely with the Director of Public Relations and the wider Corporate Communications department to assist with a variety of projects, including communications planning, research and benchmarking, media relations, as well as social media, thought leadership, and internal communications content development.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct research, monitor, and analyze media coverage to identify compelling topics and trends for content development, or issues that could impact the company.
- Prepare pitches and media alerts and compile media lists for targeted outreach.
- Use analytics tools to measure effectiveness of campaigns and outreach.
- Create engaging content for press releases, social media, and other RGA-owned channels (RGA external website and intranet).
- Assist in the development of multimedia content, such as videos and graphics.
- Perform administrative duties as needed.
