A Brief Overview
Collaborate in leading, developing and managing all aspects of Market & Credit Risk Management at RGA. Review pricing practices on transactional business to ensure that RGA maintains an acceptable risk-return profile on new business. Develop, implement, monitor, and adapt strategies to address changes in market conditions, company risk profile, company financial objectives, and various regulatory constraints. Maintain, enhance and coordinate Financial Risk models and coordinate with Global ALM in Valuation to ensure a consistent view on the risk return profile at RGA.
What you will do
- Conduct modeling of Interest Rate EC and ALM Metrics for Enterprise Risk Management Reporting. Provide guidance to Global ALM in valuation as they integrate the model mechanics in their own models that will be integrated into valuation processes. Improve the models and maintain them to be a check on Global ALM models and enable ad hoc analyses for developing new frameworks.
- Serve as the 2nd-line-of-defense on transactional business, reviewing the Market and Credit Risks and practices to translate them into pricing to ensure that RGA maintains an acceptable risk-return profile on new business. Work with Corporate Pricing to review and develop pricing guidance on non-transactional business that reasonably reflects RGA's desired risk-return profile. Interact with pricing teams to solicit input, and relate and defend the guidance.
- Support the ALM group in valuation by providing 2nd-line-of-defense insight into ALM Metrics and risk and how they are affected at the currency, entity, and enterprise levels.
- Serve as the Interest Rate Risk Officer and support the Market and Credit Risk Committee with content and proposals to ensure that Interest Rate Risk is being properly considered via risk limits, key risk indicators, and any other frameworks as appropriate. Prepare ERM report commentary around Interest Rate Risk for ERM reporting to the Board.
- Conduct 2nd-line deep dives on in force practices around Market and Credit Risks including interest rate, inflation, currency, credit, real estate and equity risks, taking into consideration liquidity, capital requirements, economic profiles and income profile. Develop guidance on in force practices and generate agreement on them.
- Participate in Portfolio Optimization and Currency Supergroup meetings, support Global ALM with insight and metrics to support RGA strategy. Prepare and review information for compliance with regulatory reporting on Market and Credit Risks and develop metrics to support activities such as S&P reporting, and / or support Global ALM in valuation in doing the same.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

143,245.00 - $213,390.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
