Job Title: Operating Room Charge RN – Specialty Teams Coordinator
Location: Full Time, Day Shift (0530-1400)
Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 annually
Relocation Assistance: $5,000
Sign-On Bonus: $30,000
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Charge Registered Nurse to oversee and coordinate all activities related to specialty services in the operating room. In collaboration with the OR Manager, you will plan, organize, and ensure the efficient and cost-effective use of resources, while delivering high-quality patient care. You will play a key role in the orientation, training, and development of personnel within the specialty service, streamline nursing intraoperative processes, and maintain preference cards for assigned service lines. You will work closely with the perioperative team and other departments to ensure seamless care delivery, while actively contributing to educational initiatives and policy improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the coordination of specialty teams within the operating room, ensuring efficient use of resources and continuous, high-quality patient care.
- Oversee the orientation, training, and development of specialty service personnel.
- Streamline intraoperative processes and manage preference cards for assigned service lines.
- Maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with perioperative team members and other departments.
- Participate in committee activities, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Uphold the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act in all aspects of the role.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Experience: At least 2 years of OR nursing experience.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certified Nurse in the Operating Room (CNOR) or Certified Gastroenterology RN (CGRN). Must be certified within 12 months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate others.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Clinical expertise in operating room settings.
