We are looking for someone to fill our Line Tech/Powder Coating position in our Cochranton, PA location.

8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday, weekends and overtime as needed.

The right candidate will have the following skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a powder coater or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of various powder coating techniques, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to interpret and follow job specifications, including customer requirements and material data sheets.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects and make necessary adjustments.
• Basic understanding of color matching and blending.
• Good manual dexterity and handeye coordination.
• Strong safety awareness and knowledge of handling hazardous materials.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet production deadlines.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.
• Possess strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of GEMA powder coating equipment is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare workpieces by cleaning and pretreating surfaces, such as chemical washing, or etching, to ensure proper adhesion of the powder coating.
• Select the appropriate powder coating material and color based on customer specifications and job requirements.
• Set up and operate powder coating equipment, such as spray guns, coating booths, and curing ovens, to apply the powder coating evenly and consistently.
• Ensure that the powder coating application meets quality standards and requirements, such as thickness, coverage, and uniformity.
• Troubleshoot and make adjustments to the powder coating equipment as needed to maintain consistent performance.
• Inspect finished workpieces for quality defects, such as runs, sags, or uneven coating, and make necessary touchups or rework when required.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and guidelines for handling and storing powder coating materials, as well as operating equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and tools, to ensure efficiency and a safe working environment.
• Keep records of production activities, such as material usage, coating specifications, and job details.
• Hanging material on the line.
• Unloading materials from the line and preparing them for shipment.
• Loading and unloading trucks for shipping.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.
