Roofing Estimator

Job Overview:

The Roofing Estimator will be responsible for assisting in the estimation of roofing projects, reviewing plans and blueprints, and ensuring accurate pricing and project specifications. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career in the construction and roofing industry, with training provided for all necessary technical skills. The role will be 100% office-based, no field visits required. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze roofing project plans, blueprints, and specifications (spec books)
• Prepare accurate estimates for roofing projects by analyzing project scope and materials
• Communicate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information
• Work closely with senior estimators and project managers to ensure estimates align with company standards
• Maintain detailed and organized records of all estimates, correspondence, and documents
• Assist in preparing bid packages and project proposals for clients
• Review job site conditions, if necessary, to gather information for accurate project estimates
• Perform other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, and estimation software)
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, blueprints, and spec books
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute between West Palm Beach and Oakland Park offices as needed
• A background in construction or accounting is preferred, but not required
• A knowledge of Florida roofing regulations is required.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team player mentality

Additional Information:

• Training will be provided for the necessary technical skills
• Full-time, in-office position
• Ability to commute between our West Palm Beach and Oakland Park locations preferred.
