What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Technician position at Rhinehart Finishing, LLC?
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
- Mixes paint (solvent and water base) for use in painting according to Tech Data specifications
- Properly discards left over paints, thinners, solvents according to the proper standards
- Communicating with supervisors and coworkers about processes
- Monitor all paint inventory items associated with the production demands of the department including supplies, materials, and equipment with the assistance of the Plant Superintendent.
- Assist in maintaining equipment in paint and powder booths
- Maintain necessary records of all paint material mixed and disposed as outlined on the OJT
- Read and interpret viscosity and thickness instrumentation.
- Ensure the flushing out of paint hose lines are done before each change of color.
- Responsible for keeping the mix room, paint booths, and assisting in keeping paint guns, and other equipment clean to ensure longevity. Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition; Maintain good housekeeping practices in accordance with Rhinehart Finishing practice.
- Must have the knowledge or learn how to manually operate electrostatic and/or conventional spray equipment to paint a wide variety of parts.
- Assist with monitor and maintain booth checks for the Overhead, Flat Line, and Plant 2 Paint Booths when needed.
- Assist with all booth filter changes
- Assist painters & Paint Application & Equipment Maintenance Specialist when issues arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Follow all safety/environmental and quality requirements/procedures

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
