Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a full-time Onsite Mechanical Engineer to be based in Fargo, ND, where you will support one of our clients. This role is crucial to both short- and long-term success with the client, offering opportunities for a variety of engaging manufacturing projects.
Schedule:
This position requires a 40-hour workweek, with 80% of hours scheduled Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasionally, hours may vary, and you may be asked to work additional time on Friday mornings. You will be given two weeks' notice for any schedule changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Support & Troubleshooting: Assist with equipment installations and provide ongoing troubleshooting for assembly torque tools and related systems.
- Customer Relationship Management: Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving technical issues promptly and professionally.
- Relationship Building: Foster and maintain trusted relationships with both client personnel and internal colleagues.
- Programming & Software Use: Program and configure equipment using various software suites.
- First-Line Contact: Serve as the primary contact for initial equipment commissioning and ongoing support.
- Project Collaboration: Participate in bi-weekly design meetings to review customer project progress and future pipelines.
- Vendor Partnerships: Build and strengthen relationships with our vendor partners.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet customer needs and ensure project success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Education & Experience:
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent factory experience.
- Familiarity with lockout/tag-out procedures and heavy industrial safety protocols.
- Technical Expertise:
- Expertise in fastening/torque theory and industrial DC power tool programming.
- Understanding of torque reaction and measurement units (Nm/Ftlbs).
- Familiarity with the power tool calibration process.
- Ability to analyze and generate KPI reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and other commercial software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Previous industrial/manufacturing factory experience.
- Additional Knowledge: Experience with hoists, bridge crane systems, torque arms, and lift assists.
