Job Summary
The Camp Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of camp operations, ensuring a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience for all campers. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for education, and the ability to manage staff and resources effectively. The Camp Director will work closely with educators and support staff to develop programs that foster learning and personal growth among campers.
Duties
- Plan, implement, and evaluate camp programs that align with educational objectives.
- Supervise camp staff, providing training and support to ensure high-quality instruction and care for campers.
- Manage daily operations of the camp, including scheduling activities, overseeing safety protocols, and maintaining facilities.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate camper progress and address any concerns.
- Foster a positive camp culture that encourages participation, teamwork, and respect among campers.
- Monitor camper behavior and provide guidance to ensure a supportive environment conducive to learning.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on feedback.
- Complete necessary billing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in education administration or higher education teaching.
- Strong background in working with students in an educational setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with campers, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent initiative.
- Passion for youth development and a commitment to providing a safe and enriching camp experience.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- After school
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends & holidays off
