Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Providence, RI, for a Child Protective Investigator. The Child Protective Investigator will be responsible for investigating reports of child abuse and neglect, providing case management services, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children. Day-to-day tasks include assessing family needs, coordinating with other service providers, documenting case activities, and working directly with children and families to develop safety plans and support systems. The specialist will also engage with community resources to support families and provide necessary services.
Qualifications
- Experience with Child Protective Services and Foster Care services.
- Background in Human Services and Social Work.
- Proficiency in Family Services and support programs.
- Strong understanding of child welfare policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive situations with tact and empathy.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field is required.
- Experience in the child welfare sector or related field is preferred.
