Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance & Membership Coordinator to assist with membership invoicing, payment processing, and administrative support. This role provides an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in financial operations and membership management within a nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of finance and accounting, is proficient in QuickBooks, and is eager to grow their expertise in business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage membership invoices and payments.
- Utilize QuickBooks to track financial transactions, including accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R).
- Maintain and update membership records in our database.
- Generate and organize financial and membership.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding dues, payments, and membership related questions.
- Support administrative functions including email communications, document organization, and general office tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent coursework in business, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with QuickBooks (from coursework or internships).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently.
Supervision & Work Environment
- Reports to the Executive Vice President.
- Office-based role with minimal travel.
