OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
The Community Engagement and Enrollment Specialist is a key contributor to the school community, leading the execution of the student recruitment and enrollment strategy. This role ensures that families and students are fully informed about the unique opportunities the school offers, while driving efforts to meet enrollment objectives.
Recruitment and Enrollment:
Engage with families, students, and local businesses in key neighborhoods through targeted outreach efforts (canvassing).
Distribute promotional materials (such as brochures and fact sheets) and provide information about the school to students and families.
Guide families and students with the application and enrollment process, offering translation services as needed to ensure clear communication.
Compile and collect necessary paperwork to complete enrollment.
Communicate and provide application / enrollment updates for prospective students and families.
Coordinate and participate in all open house events and other recruitment initiatives.
Withdrawals:
Communicate with all families / students wishing to withdraw.
Participate in withdrawal meetings to guide families in new enrollment options.
Track, document and report reasons and data for withdrawal.
Ensure appropriate withdrawal paperwork is completed.
Collect all school issued property.
Community Engagement:
Identify local organizations to organize community information sessions and host informational tables at events.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of community stakeholders who align with the school’s mission and vision, to bolster family and community engagement related to recruitment efforts.
Collaborate with the Principal to hold new parent/student orientations prior to the start of each school year, plan family workshops and increase parent engagement.
Administration:
Track and analyze enrollment data to ensure full enrollment numbers are reached and maintained.
Regularly update and maintain enrollment data on a daily basis.
Provide reports on outreach activities and progress toward meeting benchmarks.
Provide the required documentation/enrollment forms to the appropriate school leadership/staff regarding all new students.
Serves as an oral translator on the phone, in meetings and as needed.
Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as needed or requested.
