What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Summer Program Coordinator position at Rhode Island School for Progressive Education?
The Rhode Island School for Progressive Education (RISPE) seeks a part-time, temporary Summer Program Coordinator for our Elementary Accelerated Teacher Certification. This role will be in charge of logistics for the elementary summer school programming RISPE provides as part of our certification program. This summer program will run Monday-Thursday from late June to early August 2025. The Coordinator will be expected to work a total of six weeks, including the week before the program starts. The responsibilities of this role are as follows:
Work with the Director of Academics and Coordinator of Certification Programs to plan and organize all logistics related to the running of RISPE’s summer program, including:
- Rosters
- Classroom assignments
- Ordering and distributing supplies
- Liaising with school administration
Coordinate logistics in the summer school program on a day-to-day basis, including:
- Attendance
- Pick-up
- Communication between all relevant parties
- Support with technology such as WiFi and printing
- Lunch
- Dismissal
- Troubleshooting issues that arise
The pay for this position is $2,500. Candidates should have a background in administrative work or program coordination. This position is only available for the summer of 2025, but someone who is successful in the role will be eligible to secure it again in 2026.
