Job Description :
Rhodes College is hiring an Associate Director of the Turley Memphis Center (TMC). The Associate Director will provide administrative oversight and assessment of all community partnerships, support community-engaged students fellowships, and assist the Dean with strategic planning, communications, and TMC program events. This role will report to the Dean of Community Engagement / Executive Director of the TMC. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, flexible and adaptable, a creative problem solver, an experienced public speaker, committed to working with a productive, collaborative and energetic team.
Job responsibilities include but may not be limited to :
Maintain Community Partner and Affiliate Inventory including drafting and managing contracts, affiliate agreements, and MOUs.
Assist the Dean and project team on the Carnegie re-classification for Community Engagement application and accreditation maintenance.
Assist the Dean and TMC staff in tracking, assessing, and analyzing community engagement activities.
Assist the Dean in strategic planning, program events, and TMC curriculum and credential management.
Maintain the TMC website and public calendar.
Serve as Communications liaison to share student, staff, faculty, and community partner accomplishments and stories.
Attend community partner events upon request.
Serve on the external TMC Advisory Board.
Manage CE fellowship budget and student payment, including reconciling expenses and verifying student hours in Workday and Give Pulse.
Supervise TMC Fellows and RSAPs.
Under the direction of the Dean, develop and deliver workshops, training modules, and programming around community engagement for students and teach up to 4 credit hours per year.
Work travel is required.
Work occasional nights and / or weekends is required.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications :
Master’s degree required, Ph.D. preferred.
This position requires a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and must be insurable by the College’s insurance carrier.
Five years of higher education administrative experience in Academic Affairs, Student Life, or Community Engagement required.
Experience with community engagement and / or working with diverse constituencies required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
College-level teaching experience preferred.
Experience with community-engaged learning, student supervision, program assessment, budget management preferred.
Workday, Box, Slate, Give Pulse, Outlook, and Notion experience preferred.
