Role Mission: As a Financial Data Analyst at Rhodes, you will be responsible for automating data into information, information into insights, and insights into key business decisions that steer the strategic direction of Rhodes. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Data and IT, you will play a vital role in developing automated financial models and will assist in the data-driven decision-making process to help measure and manage the performance of our residential and commercial real estate portfolio. You will perform in-depth financial analysis and visualizations and collaborate closely with top management.

Accountabilities:

Reporting:

• Develop detailed investment packages for presentation to senior leadership 
• Maintain proforma financial models for residential and commercial real estate projects 
• Conduct financial analysis to assess key performance indicators, identify trends, and support decision-making. 
• Support property-level due diligence and market research for new investments 
• Prepare and maintain quarterly asset management models and reports including comparisons of asset performance vs. budget and hold-sell analyses 
• Provide regular reporting on financial metrics, including occupancy costs, lease renewals, and capital expenditures 
• Prepare Cash Flow projections for multiple entities 
• Perform other financial analysis, reporting, or budgeting duties as assigned by senior leadership to support departmental and portfolio objectives 
• Conduct analyses to drive valuable business insights, using analytics tools, Python, and SQL to access and manipulate multivariate data 
• Develop and automate Financial Models, Cash Flows and Budget Models as needed 
• Complete reports for the reporting calendar on time 
• Provide ad-hoc analysis support to identify trends that drive business performance 
• Communicate updates on report requests 
• Maintain an inventory/documentation of all reports created 

Project Management:

• Create project plans for each project request 
• Provide updates for project champion and VP of Finance 
• Deploy projects across the Finance and Accounting team 

Dashboards:

• Build data visualizations and multi-faceted dashboards that convey key performance metrics, significant trends, and relationships across multiple data sources within the content domain 
• Ideate and develop new metrics and analytical approaches, measuring content performance for both tactical and strategic decision-making 
• Develop dashboards for the Finance and Accounting Department 
• Provide support & maintenance to dashboards in Qlik 
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns for effective storytelling using multiple information sources 
• Maintain an inventory/documentation of all dashboards created

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, data science, or related field 
• Master's degree in data science, computer science, or software engineering preferred 

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Python programming language 
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerQuery 
• Expertise in Business Intelligence tools and dashboard creation 
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency across all applications 

Preferred Technical Experience

• Experience with HEX or Jupyter Notebooks 
• Experience with Snowflake 
• Experience with Streamlit for creating data applications 
• Experience with Qlik Sense preferred (Tableau or PowerBI experience will be sufficient)
