Responsibilities: The actively contributes to the overall operation of the hotel by providing strong leadership to the housekeeping team. Specifically, this person has direct influence and accountability for the quality standards for housekeeping and enforcing the culture of Loden hospitality.
Job Requirements:
- Ambassador of Rhode’s mission, vision, and values
- Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department and onsite laundry facility
- Conduct and complete regularly scheduled facility inspections including guest rooms and public space to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards
- Implement systems to proper labeling of all chemicals in use in the laundry, housekeeping office, and on all front and back of the house
- Oversee and monitor the consumption and ordering the replacement of guestroom amenities, linen, terry, laundry facilities and cleaning supplies
- Interact with all employees in the housekeeping department - providing ongoing and systematic feedback and performance evaluation
- Communicate with the front desk and management on any room related issues
- Monitor responses on guest comment cards and letters; identify problems area and formulate solutions
- Communicate with the front desk and management on any room related issues
- Perform monthly inventory on supplies
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of all laundry and housekeeping equipment with Engineering
- Responsible for assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and planning of the department
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with managers, vendors, guests and staff.
- Ability to follow directions closely.
- Requires verbal English fluency and good hearing function to communicate with employees and guests in person and by walkie-talkie.
- Requires ability to multi-task and work under time constraints.

Physical & Mental Demands:
- Willingness to periodically work longer or more irregular hours when needed
- Physically active - the employee will be required to stand, kneel, and walk while performing the duties of this job. The person in this position may have to lift/carry up to fifty (50) pounds daily; anything over fifty (50) pounds is considered a minimum two (2) person lift
- The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers and must reach with hands and arms
- Stress management: manage stress in a professional manner
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, typical of a hotel/restaurant setting
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Management level experience
Compensation:
- Discounted rates at Loden Hospitality Managed Properties after 6 months of consecutive employment. *Based on availability*
- Paid time off and paid holidays Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
