As an Estimator, you will review project opportunities, analyze bid invitations, and deliver accurate proposals for high-quality custom architectural millwork projects. This role requires expertise in blueprint interpretation and the ability to estimate complex scopes of work, including subcontracted components. You will collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure timely and competitive bid submissions. Estimator (Millwork exp req; Paid relo to Danville, IL) Responsibilities
• Review bid opportunities, qualify projects, and prioritize tasks to meet submission deadlines
• Analyze architectural drawings and specifications to perform accurate take-offs
• Generate RFIs for missing information and resolve scope discrepancies
• Identify subcontracted components and source vendors as needed
• Collaborate with project teams for estimating and project handoffs
• Participate in project kickoff meetings to ensure alignment with the production team
• Maintain vendor pricing updates and ensure accurate cost databases
• Adhere to AWI specifications and integrate specialty materials like veneers into project scopes
• Develop comprehensive project estimates and proposals within required timeframes
• Collaborate with team members during project kickoff meetings
Estimator (Millwork exp req; Paid relo to Danville, IL) Qualifications
• 3 years of millwork estimating experience required
• Experience with millwork manufacturing processes required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications required
• Knowledge of AWI specifications required
• Proficiency in estimating software and bid platforms required
