RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up client PCs and install operating systems, peripherals, and software.
- Install network related equipment in client locations, including switches, firewalls, access points, and routers.
- Install and manage cloud telecom services and hardware.
- Create and update technical documentation for network installations or changes to existing installations.
- Train end users on software and systems, assisting clients with integrating technologies into their organization to advance productivity and efficiency.
- Resolve client issues through remote support, or on site as needed, and document all actions taken.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve a range of hardware, software, and network issues.
- Prioritize and triage incoming tickets by communicating with dispatchers and clients.
- Participate in project planning and implementation.
EXPERIENCE:
- An Associate’s degree in Information Technology field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- 1 years of experience in a professional IT role (desired).
- Current industry certifications such as A , Net , or CCNA (desired but not required).
- A solid technical skillset, including experience with computer hardware and software, basic networking, TCP IP, Active Directory, Windows server, O365, VPN, and malware scanning and removal tools.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to interpret clients’ summary of issues.
- Professional communication skills, both written and oral, within multiple levels of an organization.
- The ability to be resourceful and work independently within a team environment.
- The ability to multitask and balance competing priorities.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois, during working hours.
