What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Dispatcher position at Rhyme?
The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and routing a team of technicians to service calls, ensuring client satisfaction on response times and call completion. This position must be able to stay organized and maintain composure while balancing multiple tasks and schedules throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming calls and create electronic service tickets as requested by clients and internal personnel.
- Assign, schedule, and route service calls to appropriate technicians, considering geographic location and skills and knowledge.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues, over the phone, with clients to prevent the need for a service call.
- Communicate and follow-up with clients on technician availability and service call scheduling.
- Coordinate parts runs to reduce hold-for-parts calls and increase same-day-completion rate.
- Work with technicans and the Inventory Specialist to order parts not currently in stock.
- Schedule field technicians to provide support for in-house setups and repairs, training, and installs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills and ability to grasp new technologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities.
- Strong focus and attention to detail.
- Ability to be assertive and direct the work of others.
