Providing support for existing applications and database programs, which includes designing, implementing, and deploying new database systems. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the supervision of a manager with wide latitude to exercise independent judgement. Work is subject to review on a periodic basis or upon completion for results achieved and for adherence to professional standards of conduct.SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Generally none.
May work as part of teams and in collaboration with others with wide latitude for the exercise of independent judgement to achieve results. May be involved in providing input to the performance management process as a peer or colleague as appropriate. ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct systems analysis, systems design and programming activities. Create, design, develop, modify, implement and support new and existing data systems.Consult with internal/external users and formulate problem statements; to devise data processing solutions for projects under development.Develop test strategies and participate in the testing processes.Develops technical system documentation for each project being developed.Provides technical support to internal/external end users for the enhancement of developing core collection systems.
Perform and/or coordinate data processing tasks necessary for project completion.Performs related work as assigned.
