MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
•Possession of a valid California credential authorizing service as a Speech Therapist or proof of enrollment/acceptance in a Speech and Language Pathology graduate program.
•Proof of CBEST results.
•Previous employment as a SLPA is desired.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
•Knowledge and ability to assess students to determine eligibility for speech and language services.
•Provides speech and language therapy to identified special education students.
•Consults with teachers regarding accommodations necessary in the general education program.
•Develops IEP’s for eligible students.
•Develops, guides, and coordinates placement procedures and attend IEP meetings for students presented to the County, other districts in the SELPA, and service agencies’ Individualized Education Program Teams for the Aurally Handicapped/Aphasic or Severe Oral Language Handicapped/Multiple Handicapped programs.
Salary : $102,869 - $144,745
