Ricaurte Precision, in the heart of Orange County, is actively expanding due to growth of new clients and growing the contract offering! We have experienced expansive growth of 30% or more year over year, and we are continuing on this trajectory in the upcoming years with some well known aerospace contracts. We have a need to grow our team with a CNC Machine Operator based in our Santa Ana, California office.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The CNC Machine Operator must assist in set up, break down and running of various multi-axis CNC machines by following company Work Order instructions and company processes and procedures to include detailed data entry into the company’s ERP system (ProShop). The CNC Machine Operator must be familiar with various CNC machine controls and able to place tools, move programs and check parts using standard hand tools. JOB SPECIFICS:
- Read and interpret drawings, digital setup sheets, work instructions and tool lists to determine required machining processes, dimensional specifications and operating requirements.
- Assist CNC Set Up Machinists by helping to install and align fixtures, tooling, and attachments according to job requirements.
- Must become proficient in all applicable manufacturing technologies to include company’s digital ERP system (ProShop), Quality Management System (HighQA), machine monitoring system (Datanomix) and other technologies.
- Performs first article inspections according to specifications and makes offset changes as needed.
- Loads parts and runs production cycles according to manufacturing priorities, as specified by work orders, department lead and management.
- Inspects parts to print throughout production in order to hold tight tolerances and ensure quality products at all times.
- Completes required documentation for non-conformance parts and performs root cause analysis to determine corrective or preventive actions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Communication to ensure improved workflow – No Idle Machines Work with Set Up Machinists, Leads, Programmers and Production Manager to move jobs and to move to newly assigned machines when necessary.
- Continuous Improvement - Practical & Efficient Tooling Work with Set Up Machinists, Leads, Programmers, Tool Crib and Leads to ensure continuous education on tool use
- Fixtures –appropriately storing and labeling fixtures for future use.
- Measuring with ERP system - Appropriately input data into company’s ERP system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) 2 years of CNC Machining experience in tight tolerance precision machining environment preferred
2) Must be technically experienced and capable to lead by example as an Operator
3) Must have excellent communication skills to guide and motivate team members, and to demonstrate excellence in communication with other departments.
4) Must be a flexible team player, willing and able to assist in areas outside of your department to ensure a clean and productive working environment.
5) Must lead by example and demonstrate Ricaurte Precision Inc’s Values (above) on a daily basis
