Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Supervisor with expertise in the cement industry to oversee and enhance our quality assurance processes. This role ensures that cement products meet company standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining efficiency in operations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of quality control procedures specific to cement manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the quality control team in a cement manufacturing environment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and policies for cement production.
- Conduct inspections, raw material analysis, and audits to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Identify and investigate product quality issues, analyzing chemical and physical properties to develop corrective action plans.
- Train and mentor quality control staff to enhance performance and compliance with cement industry standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Maintain and analyze quality control data, preparing reports for management with a focus on cement performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ASTM, AASHTO, and ISO standards, and other industry requirements.
- Manage documentation and records related to quality control processes in cement production.
- Continuously seek improvements in quality control methods, cement testing procedures, and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
· Minimum of 5 -10 years of experience in quality control within the cement or construction materials industry, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
· Strong knowledge of cement production processes, quality control standards, and regulatory compliance.
· Experience with cement testing methods (e.g., durability, compressive strength, specific gravity, tensile strength) XRF, and XRD analysis) is a plus.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
· Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in manufacturing, production, or a highly regulated industry.
· Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality assurance methodologies in cement production.
· Knowledge of environmental and sustainability standards related to cement manufacturing.
· Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
· Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
· Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety management practices.

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays to support operational needs.
Operational Hours 8-hour shift; 5 days p/wk. OR 10-hour shift; 4 days p/wk.
Basic Qualifications
· 18 years or older with high school diploma/GED.
· Speak and understand English well enough to communicate effectively. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
· Must be able to legally work in the US and provide supporting documentation.
· Mentally alert and physically able cross train and perform all positions and functions.
