• Spotting a typo from 50 feet away (or at least on the first proofread).

• Helping the public with the patience of a saint and the enthusiasm of a county fair bingo caller.

• Juggling tasks like a pro—even when your to-do list rivals a phone book.

• Rocking data entry, cash balancing, and real estate changes without breaking a sweat.

• Staying optimistic and focused, even on days when the printer jams. Twice.

📋 A Day in the Life:

• Record deeds and court docs like a legal librarian with a love of accuracy.

• Maintain and update the county’s tax rolls (yes, we still use that phrase—it’s fancy).

• Handle abatements, refunds, solid waste assessments, and even cereal malt beverage licenses (we promise it makes sense).

• Balance reports, assist with elections, and sell hunting, fishing, and park permits with a smile.

• Help the Clerk’s office hum along smoothly—whether it’s reconciling deposits or registering boats.

💡 A Few Must-Haves:

• High school diploma or GED (gold stars if you know what “abatement” means without Googling it).

• Microsoft Office skills that would make a spreadsheet blush.

• Bondable (yes, we do background checks—because, you know… taxes).

• Willingness to be helpful, accurate, and kind—even before coffee.
