Job Summary
The Office Support Specialist-HR performs a variety of support activities to ensure the effective administration of human resource including; assisting employees with questions/concerns; supporting payroll, recruitment, employee benefits; and special projects as assigned.
Examples of Duties
- Performs reception and general clerical support to provide coverage and services for the Human Resources Department.
- Provides administrative support and back-up relating to payroll and payroll processing.
- Provides support to the recruiting and hiring process.
- Provides support to administration of County benefits.
- Supports Human Resources staff with administrative duties.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
The job requires post-secondary education and training in clerical and business administration and one to three years related office experience, or equivalent. Key job characteristics include knowledge of internal county procedures for processing vouchers or other internal documents. Ability to maintain knowledge base of several program areas, good detail and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain positive, effective work relationships with others.
Supplemental Information
HOURS: Normal business hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Full-time hours equal 40 hours per week.
