Job Summary
**TESTING AND INTERVIEWS WILL BE SATURDAY, MARCH 15TH
The Rice County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the safety of residents and visitors who use the lakes and rivers of the County. Water Patrol Deputies are directed to conduct patrol activities on the lakes, rivers and waterways to maintain a visible presence and enforce compliance.
Examples of Duties
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Patrol lakes and rivers in Rice County
- Safety checks of watercrafts
- Placing and removing buoy's
- Boat inspections of Resort's rental boats
- Public demonstrations
- Maintenance of Rice County boats and equipment
- Documentation of incidents and assist with grant reporting
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age or older, experience operating a watercraft. Ability to meet swimming requirements.
HOURS: Seasonal position. Variable hours including most weekends. Position available from approximately Memorial Day through Labor Day.
This position is not eligiable for benefits.
