**TESTING AND INTERVIEWS WILL BE SATURDAY, MARCH 15TH
The Rice County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the safety of residents and visitors who use the lakes and rivers of the County. Water Patrol Deputies are directed to conduct patrol activities on the lakes, rivers and waterways to maintain a visible presence and enforce compliance.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
HOURS: Seasonal position. Variable hours including most weekends. Position available from approximately Memorial Day through Labor Day.

- Safety checks of watercrafts
- Placing and removing buoy's
- Boat inspections of Resort's rental boats
- Public demonstrations
- Maintenance of Rice County boats and equipment
- Documentation of incidents and assist with grant reporting
HOURS: Seasonal position. Variable hours including most weekends. Position available from approximately Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Salary : $18 - $20
