Rice County is currently seeking a Seasonal Worker Highway Engineer to assist in Rice County's Engineering Department for the 2025 construction season. Rice County is located in southern Minnesota, about 50 miles south of the Minneapolis and St. Paul metropolitan area. The county, which encompasses an area of 516 square miles, has seven cities and 14 townships.
High school diploma or GED and valid Driver's License. This position requires walking, standing, lifting and bending to a significant degree for an extended period of time. Ability to work extended hours and some Saturdays required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous related experience or education in construction management, engineering and/or surveying. HOURS: Variable, Monday - Friday with some Saturdays. Seasonal position with an approximate start date of May 2025 and an approximate end date of September 2025.
