Position Summary:
The Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs seeks a skilled administrator to support faculty awards and retiree programs. This role provides operational support, manages awards administration, coordinates events, handles communications, and maintains the website.

Workplace Requirements:
This position is exclusively on-site, requiring all duties to be performed in person at the Allen Center, Monday through Friday, working a schedule that falls between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Per Rice Policy 440, work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range: $57,000 - $59,900
Exempt (salaried) position under FLSA and not eligible for overtime
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of experience in faculty administration, event planning, data management, or a related field.
- In lieu of the education or experience requirement, additional related education or experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis.

Essential Functions:
- Provides support to faculty, administrators, and staff by implementing and administering day-to-day functions of awards administration, including manual data input, award uploads, email communication, and managing the Faculty Awards InfoReady webpage
- Coordinates events, managing both internal and external vendors
- Analyzes trends to recommend process improvements for awards and retirement programs
- Manages data entry and database administration
- Represents the office to on-campus and external stakeholders
- Assesses training needs and develops related materials
- Maintains and updates website content as required
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures while recommending improvements
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Additional Functions:
- Serves as the point of contact for Association of Retired Rice University Faculty (ARRUF) events
