Position Summary
The Business Administrator manages complex administrative and financial matters for the Enrollment division. This includes but is not limited to, managing the financial, business, and human resources functions for the division. This person is responsible for the management and development of budgets, financial analysis, and oversight of all accounting activities, providing guidance and expertise to department heads and managers. In addition, the Business Administrator serves as the primary liaison with Human Resources and is responsible for managing and advising on Human Resources processes and practices for the Enrollment division, including: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, rewards/recognition, pay changes, promotions/reclassifications, reorganizations, and basic employee relations matters, personnel action changes and terminations.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing business systems, structures, and processes, particularly for budgeting and accounting, and, will be a proactive, forward-thinking individual with a positive outlook.
The expected starting salary will be between $65K and $80K, contingent on experience and qualifications.
This position is also available for a hybrid work schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of related administrative and financial management experience or other closely related role
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial, organizational and staff resources
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate constituencies which might span multiple organizational boundaries
- Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions using good business judgment and innovative and creative problem-solving
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate professional and business partnerships
- Strong knowledge of relevant subject matter
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties with a high level of professionalism, flexibility, discretion, judgment, diplomacy and tact
Essential Functions
- Leads strategic planning and analysis for a division, complex department or programs with significant business, regulatory and/or technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise
- Independently manages the administration and evaluation of functions or programs
- Prepares and reviews operational and financial reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Sets goals and deadlines for the department
- Serves as an advisor to unit head on administrative matters
- Manages division budgets, human resource and facilities functions
- Oversees the interpretation, implementation and compliance with policies and regulations
- Recommends actions and resolve complex issues that often span organizational boundaries
- Manages outreach strategies that may include relationship development, communications, and compliance
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Preferences
- Experience managing a human resources function for a unit or division, including staff recruitment
- Experience managing a budget for a unit or division, including budget management through an enterprise-wide budget management system, providing reports on an on-going basis, and overseeing department expenditures
- Experience developing and implementing business systems, structures and processes
- Experience working for a values, mission, or service-driven organization
- Demonstrated ability to develop short and long term budget plans and align them with activities, initiatives and key business priorities
- Understanding of HR processes, systems and practices, including recruitment, onboarding, learning & development and performance management
