Job Description
Riceland Foods is looking for an VP Financial Planning & Analysis. As the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will partner with the CFO to drive the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for the company. You will be a key partner to the team, providing critical insights and analyses to inform strategic decision-making, support growth & optimization plans, and drive productivity, profitability, and cross-department collaboration. The VP of FP &A will play an integral role in developing business transformation and strategic initiatives that will shape the company’s future profitability.
Responsibilities
FP&A Strategy: Develop and execute the company’s financial planning and analysis strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and priorities. Drive business transformation by identifying key financial levers that support strategic initiatives and value creation.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the CFO and CAO to build a refined annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts, working closely with business leaders across all regions and functions to ensure accurate and timely financial projections. Implement robust forecasting models to anticipate future financial performance and identify risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
Decision Support & Insights: Provide actionable financial insights helping guide decisions related to capital allocation, resource optimization, cost management, and growth strategies.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and reflective of the company's performance. Provide insightful analysis on variances and trends, offering recommendations for course correction when necessary.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define and monitor the company’s financial and operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Use data to track performance against budget, forecast, and long-term strategic goals.
Business Transformation: Identify and lead financial initiatives that drive operational efficiencies, streamline processes, and improve profitability. Leverage technology and data analytics to drive automation and enhance decision-making across the company. Assess the financial impact of decisions for divisions, partnerships, and divestitures. Incorporate business cases into financial targets and budgets.
FP&A Team: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to the team to ensure success and professional growth. Enhance cross-department collaboration and demonstrate value creation through financial modeling and decision support tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leaders in Sales, Operations, Marketing, Accounting and other key functions to ensure financial alignment and drive business performance. Cultivate strong relationships and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and value creation.
Communication: Present complex financial information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of experience.
- Proven experience in driving strategic initiatives and performance optimization.
- Experience in the agricultural, manufacturing, or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry, preferably within food or ingredients, is preferred.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to prioritize and drive execution.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust among stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for a broad audience.
- Ability to travel as needed.
