ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trial Management and Observations:
- Manage trials on a day-to-day level and report back needs to supervisor.
- Perform daily, detailed notes on various field trials.
- Provide detailed daily reports to supervisor.
- Travel between off-site locations and provide data:
- Travel to multiple locations in a single day.
- Provide field data while working from a hotel environment.
- Conduct daily field observations and record detailed notes.
- Travel extensively between designated off-site locations.
- Work independently in outdoor conditions, including hot weather.
- Report findings and progress to management on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all research activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent. College students welcome to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Detailed: Attentive to detail and possess strong observational skills.
- Self-Driven: Motivated, self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Working Conditions: Comfortable working long hours outdoors in various working conditions, primarily hot and humid environments.
- Ability to Travel Frequently: Willing and able to undertake frequent travel, including overnight stays, to various locations in Eastern Arkansas.
- Effective Communication: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey findings, progress and issues to management.
- Agricultural Experience: Has experience from previous roles in agricultural research or similar field
