What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer position at RICHARD A ALAIMO ASSOCIATES?
The Alaimo Group is seeking a full-time HVAC engineer with 5 years of engineering experience in design of HVAC mechanical systems. Applicants need to be familiar with relevant building codes, ASHRAE and other applicable design standards. Applicants should have the ability to coordinate projects with clients from start-to-finish, be able to prepare contract documents using AutoCAD, and prepare/check mark-ups for execution by our designing and drafting team. Applicants should have knowledge of how to design chilled and hot water piping and air distribution systems and prepare/check cooling and heating load calculations. In addition, the applicant needs to be able to run projects through construction, check shop drawings, be able to respond to RFI's and perform detailed field surveys and building evaluations.
Required Qualifications:
1. NJ Professional Engineer License
2. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3. Minimum 5 years of experience
4. Technical English writing skills for specifications and general communication.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
