Controller – Finance & Accounting Leadership
📍 Location: Houston, TX (On-site/Hybrid)
Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial operations and drive strategic financial initiatives. This leadership role will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, cash management, and compliance while managing a high-performing accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Oversee and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close.
🔹 Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity optimization.
🔹 Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
🔹 Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
🔹 Supervise AP/AR functions, budgeting, and tax compliance.
🔹 Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
🔹 Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
🔹 Mentor and develop an accounting team, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
Qualifications:
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
✅ 8 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including leadership roles.
✅ Strong expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and ERP systems.
✅ Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial data analysis.
✅ Hands-on leader with a strategic mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
