Our client, a Power Generation company with plant operations in the Northeast is actively seeking an O&M Manager. The Operations and Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising the daily operations and maintenance activities of three power plant facilities located in New Jersey and Maryland. This includes managing plant performance, conducting inspections, troubleshooting, and performing complex mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation tasks.
The role involves ensuring plant safety, implementing procedures, overseeing performance data collection, and maintaining plant chemistry standards. The manager will also guide and train staff, develop maintenance schedules, and assist with budgeting, recruitment, and compliance efforts.
Key qualifications include at least five years of power plant experience, with expertise in operations and maintenance, along with strong knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. The role requires leadership skills, the ability to manage technical equipment and systems, and an understanding of safety and environmental standards.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with power plant systems, including water treatment and chemical applications, as well as proficiency in using relevant tools and technologies. Experience with reciprocating engines is preferred, and the position involves occasional travel between facilities.
