We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to provide comprehensive legal support for the company's real estate assets, including those owned by partners and clients. This role requires close collaboration with the legal, leasing, property management, and construction teams to oversee legal commitments, contracts, and transactional documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate law, contract management, and due diligence processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Documentation & Contract Management:
- Prepare, review, and maintain various legal documents related to real estate transactions, including:
- Leases, amendments, and lease-related agreements
- Purchase and sale contracts
- Management and development agreements
- Construction contracts
- Partnership agreements
- Ensure proper execution of contracts and compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain an organized repository of all legal documents and agreements.
- Abstract key lease and contract terms into company accounting and management software.
Due Diligence & Transactional Support:
- Conduct due diligence for leasing and property acquisitions, including:
- Title and survey reviews
- UCC searches and filings
- Lease and contract review and analysis
- Assist with real estate closings by preparing closing binders, coordinating documentation, and ensuring all legal requirements are met.
- Collaborate with title companies, lenders, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Administrative Support:
- Work closely with in-house attorneys to assist with general legal functions and administrative tasks.
- Act as a liaison between legal, leasing, property management, and construction teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Support compliance efforts by monitoring and tracking deadlines, legal obligations, and key contractual provisions.
- Assist in resolving lease-related disputes and legal inquiries.
Qualifications & Skills:
✔ 3 years of experience as a paralegal in real estate, leasing, or contract law.
✔ Strong understanding of real estate transactions, lease administration, and contract management.
✔ Proficiency in legal research, title and survey review, and due diligence processes.
✔ Experience working with title companies, lenders, and external legal teams.
✔ Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
