Richards & Moskowitz PLC is a boutique Arizona law firm serving the civil litigation needs of business, government, and individual clients. We represent diverse clients in a wide range of matters, focusing on commercial and business disputes, civil rights, administrative law, and non-compete agreements.
We are searching for an experienced civil litigation paralegal to join our small, but growing team. Our ideal candidate for this client-facing role has strong interpersonal skills, is reliable, productive, and looking for a long-term position. They must be punctual, professional, enjoy helping and being of service to others. They must have excellent writing, communication, and computer skills. We expect a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in our unique collaborative atmosphere. We encourage initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The right candidate is good at multi-tasking, has a strong work ethic, must excel in a fast-paced environment, and be highly motivated.
40 hours, 5 days a week (occasional overtime, as workload requires); competitive compensation commensurate with experience; excellent benefits; not a remote position.
Job Duties:
- Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories
- Conduct client and witness interviews; prepare summaries of their statements
- Organize and assist with discovery, evidence, exhibits, deposition preparation
- Manage deadlines in assigned cases
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation
- Record billable hours spent on specific cases
- Perform other duties as assigned such as proofreading, electronic filing, copying, scanning and organizing documents
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products; willing to master firm software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and ethically
- Strong attention to detail and timeliness
- Ability to provide exceptional client service
- Notary Public (preferred, but not required)
- An intelligent and quick learner
