Account Sales and Delivery Manager

Job Summary: Richmond Distributing Company (RDC) is a beer distributor in Richmond, VA and primarily distributes Richbrau Brewing products to local retail accounts. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Account Sales and Delivery Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering beer products to retail and hospitality customers while maintaining exceptional customer service and promoting our brand. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a passion for the beverage industry, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery and Distribution:

• Safely load, transport, and unload beer products to various customers, including bars, restaurants, and retail stores.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with delivery schedules.

Sales and Customer Relations:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries or concerns.
• Identify customer needs and upsell products to meet sales targets.
• Communicate promotional opportunities, product updates, and seasonal offerings.

Inventory and Documentation:

• Verify delivery invoices and ensure accurate product counts during drop-offs and pick-ups.
• Maintain proper inventory control by keeping accurate records of stock levels.
• Process payments and manage receipts as required.

Vehicle Maintenance and Compliance:

• Regularly inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws related to alcohol transportation.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Will be required to drive both RDC Delivery Truck as well as personal vehicle to retail accounts
• Previous experience in sales, delivery, or the beverage industry is preferred but not required
• Ability to lift and carry heavy products (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly 1-2 days per week
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Work Environment:

• At times, this can be a physically demanding job that requires lifting, bending, and being on your feet for extended periods
• You will work in a variety of environments, including warehouses, delivery vehicles, and retail customer locations
• Schedule is primarily 9-5pm on weekdays with most weekends off
• Occasional event staffing will require after hours or weekend work

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
