Role:
The Director of Operations will oversee the comprehensive management of manufacturing and operational support functions, ensuring alignment with company objectives. This role requires a proactive leader to drive safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. The Director will focus on enhancing customer satisfaction, achieving financial targets, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement while maintaining open collaboration across all departments, including sales, marketing, finance, quality, production, and engineering.

Essential Job Functions:
- Establish and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and achieve operational excellence.
- Provide strategic leadership to optimize production processes and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
- Lead, mentor, and empower the operational teams to achieve performance goals and personal growth.
- Partner with engineering and quality teams to refine manufacturing processes and resolve technical challenges.
- Foster a safe working environment through rigorous training programs, compliance with safety standards, and proactive risk management.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies, incorporating lean principles and innovative solutions to enhance operational performance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations with company goals and market demands.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable solutions.
- Oversee plant maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Champion a culture of accountability and "right-the-first-time" production practices.
- Lead initiatives to reduce waste, improve workflow, and optimize material usage.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to maintain inventory levels and ensure timely shipping.
- Monitor departmental budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Resolve operational conflicts and challenges promptly to minimize disruption.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
Abilities Needed:
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to inspire and guide teams.
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach.
- Proficiency in manufacturing software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Acute attention to detail with a focus on quality and operational excellence.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Proven expertise in operations management within manufacturing, preferably in glass processing or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success in implementing lean manufacturing techniques and driving process improvements.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a managerial role or higher.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems preferred
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in operations management, engineering, or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent experience is required.
