Role:
The Controller will report directly to the President and serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing insights that drive operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth.
This role is responsible for managing the accounting team, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, analysis, and cost accounting. The Controller will also develop and implement financial policies, maintain internal controls, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the activities of Accounts Payable, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, tax compliance.
- Maintain or enhance a documented system of accounting policies and internal controls to minimize financial risk.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, including balance sheet, income statements, and cash flow report, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Develop and implement financial benchmarks to measure and improve company performance.
- With the President, lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, reporting significant variances to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Provide financial analysis related to capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure timely quarterly and annual filings in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Cost & Operational Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Conduct cost variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support data-driven operational decisions.
- Oversee inventory management and cost control measures to optimize financial performance.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations impacting financial operations.
- Partner with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for annual audits.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions

- Proficient in Microsoft Suit and sales software (MAGI experience preferred)

Qualifications and Experience Required:
- 5 to 10 years of progressive financial controller experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field strongly preferred.
