Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with nursing department staff and supervisors concerning the staffing/scheduling needs to assist in eliminating/correcting problem areas and/or improving services.
- Coordinate appropriate coverage for “call-outs” for each scheduled shift in a timely fashionand alert the nursing supervisor regrading vacant slots which have not been filled for upcoming shifts.
- Develop a workforce strategy which provides for sufficient numbers of licensed nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to meet the individualized needs of residents and to comply with state staffing requirements.
- Ensure the facility has sufficient staff with the appropriate competencies and skill sets to provide nursing and related services to assure resident safety.
- Ensure the schedule considers the number, acuity, and diagnoses of the facility resident population in accordance with the facility assessment.
- Ensure the workload or assignments of the nursing staff allow for time to participate in team meeting, care plan meetings, attend training, spend time caring for residents and time for breaks (including meal breaks).
- Work with the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Nursing when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and facility policies.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Must be extremely organized and proactive with ability to multi-task.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 1 years of experience in a healthcare facility or related setting preferred
