Are you a community-inspired, passion-driven individual ready to make a meaningful impact? Richman Property Services, Inc. is currently seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our growing team in Hayward.
Position: Assistant Property Manager, full-time, 40-hours per week, schedule is Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00am-6:00pm, as needed and will be discussed during interview process. This position is on-site, with no exempt live-in option at this time.
Location: Hayward Sr. Village, our 151-unit Sr. residential community located in Hayward, CA 94541.
Skills/Experience we are looking for:
- 2-4 years of leasing and light management experience in a multi-family environment, preferably in a 55 residential community
- Experience in an affordable/LIHTC environment and with Yardi property management software
- Proven track record of achieving high Resident satisfaction results, and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities:
- Prepare resident legal notices and process annual lease renewals
- Verify lease information accuracy; handle resident inquiries and complaints promptly and courteously
- Manage work orders and maintain accurate records in Yardi software
- Conduct unit inspections and manage move-in/move-out processes
- Assist in leasing activities, resident relations, and social event planning
- Supervise turnkey operations in the absence of the Property Manager
- Rent collection, follow up on delinquencies, and resolve accounting discrepancies
Position Requirements:

Education:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:
- 2-4 years in the apartment industry, preferably in an Assistant or Leasing position.
- Experience with LIHTC communities and Yardi software is preferred.

Skills & Certifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Property Management software (e.g., Yardi), strong communication, organizational, and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Fair Employment Housing and EEO laws
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus, but not required
