Citrus Construction is currently seeking a full-time Project E stimator to join our team. Are you a highly skilled and experienced Estimator with a can-do attitude? If so, we want you on our team!
Position : Project Estimator
Location : Citrus Construction, Miramar, FL
Preferred Experience : Candidates with 5 years of multifamily estimating experience in South Florida and worked as a general contractor are highly preferred.
Key Qualifications : Self-starter, who takes initiative, works well independently, sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus. Ability to establish credibility throughout the organization with both management and employees. Ability to coordinate and perform multiple projects simultaneously. The ability to organize and prioritize workload is essential.
About Us : Citrus Construction, a division of The Richman Group, specializes in multi-family new construction and remodeling. Founded as a general building contractor with the objective of streamlining the overall construction process from development to property management.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in coordinating bid packages using Procore to send ITB to subcontractors
- Solicit qualified subcontractors, suppliers, and outside professionals for a comprehensive, responsive, and complete estimate.
- Examine specifications, blueprints, proposals, and construction documents to get an overall understanding of the project.
- Generate accurate and clear quantity takeoffs using estimation software.
- Review, level, and perform risk assessments to subcontractor's bids.
- Communicate and resolve discrepancies between quantity takeoffs and subcontractor bids.
- Generate and develop accurate and reliable line-item budgets for each construction budgets.
- Maintain strict organization and schedule adherence on simultaneous projects when they are elected to bid or budget.
- Sort and compile qualified bid proposal for each category of work.
- Read and comprehend the soils and engineering reports as it pertains to the scope of work, and any cost implications.
- Assist in the bidding process for each individual project.
- Assist in the distribution of plans, specifications and other bid documents and assure that they are distributed in a timely manner for the purpose of obtaining Subcontractor bids.
- Effectively interact and communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and company team.
- Assist in the budgeting and value-engineering process on each budgeted project.
- Create detailed scopes of work for subcontract award.
- Create buy-out packages for internal scoping meetings and with selected subcontractor.
- Assist in maintaining unit price costs and current market trends.
- All other related duties as assigned by direct Supervisor or V.P of Citrus Construction
Requirements :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or related field is preferred.
