What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Hospital Manager position at Richmond Animal Hospital?
Seeking a hospital manager to help run our small privately owned practice. Previous experience working in an animal hospital is a plus. This could include an experienced veterinary technician who is ready to move their career to the next level. Previous management experience also a plus, but not required. The hospital manager will be in charge of tasks including inventory and ordering, running payroll, veterinarian scheduling, helping with interviews and hiring, providing the book keeper with all necessary paperwork, responding to management related emails, directing work flow and answering staff questions, and speaking with clients regarding issues. As employment continues tasks could include training, organizing and running staff meetings, staff recognition, dealing with staff conflict or injury, reviews, protocols, etc.
We have an excellent team of technicians and assistants with 5 part time doctors, in the beautiful town of Richmond. Our doctors have a variety of specialties and interests including acupuncture, dentistry, wildlife and cytology.
We are interested in creating a schedule that works for you, and we provide a competitive salary and benefits package. Option for five 8 hour days or four 9-10 hour days could be discussed. Salary is commensurate with previous experience.
